Message Board Introduction
Welcome to our new Message Board / Forum.
If you have visited the Message Board before you will notice that we have changed the format again and it is now possible to view AND post messages without the need to register and log in.
There are 4 individual boards - "Boat Families", "Unwanted Items", "Other News & Information" and the "Main" Society one.
Main Society Message Board:
for posts regarding the area of South West Lancashire (including Aughton, Bickerstaffe, Burscough, Downholland, Halsall, Hesketh with Becconsall, Lathom, Lydiate, Maghull, Melling, Ormskirk, Rufford, Scarisbrick, Simonswood, Skelmersdale and Tarleton) covered by the Society.
Boat Families:
This is where messages regarding updates to our seperate website and where queries specifically related to this research can be posted.
Unwanted Items:
If you have any unwanted genealogy related items - certificates, etc, thi9s is where you can notify us of the details.
Other News & Information:
This is the place to post any announcements, special events such as Family History Days, subscription offers etc. You can also post web sites that you think might be useful to others.
The message submission form can be found at the bottom of each page. All fields in the form are required, but please note your email address will not appear unless you put it in the body of the message.
The usual rules apply to messages posted on any of these board - no bad language or rude comments will be permitted - and BECAUSE OF THE NUMBER OF SPAM MESSAGES ALL POSTS WILL BE CHECKED BY THE MODERATORS BEFORE PUBLICATION.
If you are a member of the Society and you wish to enter the Members' Area you can do so with your existing login details or if you do not have a username and password please register by sending your details to the Website Manager at webaccess [at] odfhs.org.uk remembering to replace the " [at] " with "@" (please also remember to include your membership number!)
