Has anyone done any research on Philbin's / Philben/Philmere/ Filbon or Geraghty/Garrity/Gerroughty families in the Ormskirk area?
I am looking for anyone who may have the following names in their trees/research:- Michael Philbin B Eire c1854 Margaret Philbin nee Geraghty B Ormskirk c1859 John Geraghty B Eire lived Hants Lane on 1881 census Julia Geraghty wife of John - mother of Margaret Anthony Geraghty B Ormskirk c1862 brother of Margaret.
Bridget Philbin b c1882, Mary Philbin b c1884, Julia Philbin b 1886, John Philbin b 1889, Margaret Ann Philbin B 1883. All born in Ormskirk. Lived in the workhouse in Ormskirk according to 1891 census - by 1891 the most of the girls were in Liverpool workhouses and no trace of Michael & Margaret the parents.
Any info gratefully received!

Can anyone help, please?
Alice Billington (1808/1809):
She was a Catholic child born in Lathom, Lancs. Where would she have been Christened?
Robert Billington (c1808):
The 1st child, born Lathom, married Ann Hardman. Where would they have (most likely) been married?

Tweddell
My wife and I are researching our family history.
My wife's maternal side of her family the Tweddell comes from Gateshead one of the sons Robert Harrison Tweddell married a Mary Catherine Jennings of Blundell Ville Melling at St Mary's Church Ormskirk on the 14 Sep 1896.
I am hoping there my be some one in your family society researching Tweddell or Jennings as we have had a total blank on them after the Marriage.
Please if you can help.

Does anyone have any information on:
Jump Family
I have my G-G-G-Grandfather's (John Jump, carter) marriage certificate, 11th June 1843, in Liverpool. It gives his father's name as William (labourer) who would probably have been born around 1790-1800.
The 1851 & 61 censuses say that John was born in West Derby around 1823 but I can't find a christening in West Derby parish records, or a marriage of a William etc. I'm starting to trawl nearby parish records but no luck yet.
Any help would be appreciated.
