Could you please tell me how to go about finding graves of my Tromp relatives in Ormskirk parish church? Is there a register or even a CD available?

Daniel Robinson was a clockmaker and gold balance scale maker in Ormskirk around 1800. He may be the maker of your grandfather clock. He later moved to the Prescott area. We have 2 members of the society who are experts on clocks made in the area. Neither of whom are on email, but if you want more information you can send me an email which I will pass on to them by post. A photograph of the clock may be useful to help identify it

2010 is the 175th. Anniversary of the Foundation Of Ormskirk Cricket Club for which I intend to complete a full History of the Club to the present day.
If any Members have a photograph, Press Cutting or memory to share with me, I will be pleased to hear from them.
Although it went uncelebrated by the Club, 2008 is the 130th.Anniversary of the Club making Brook Lane its permanent home.

We have a grandfather clock with the name Robinson or Robertson, Ormskirk on the dial. Is anyone able to confirm the correct name please. Date is about 1820. Robinson or Robertson could have been the retailer.
Thanks. (ang.bob[at]clear.net.nz)

I am trying to find details of the Hewitt Family of Ormskirk Lancs,Joshua born about 1803 and his wife Jane born about 1796,he was a Farmer and they are on the 1851 census as living in Bear Hall Lane,Burscough with children Grace,Alice,James & Elizabeth.I am trying to find a date of birth for Joshua and a marriage date for Joshua and Jane.It is possible that Grace was born from a former marriage as I have found details of a birth in 1830 in Ormskirk of a Grace Hewitt with a joshua as her Father but Margaret as her Mother, its Alice I am really interested in as she was my GreatGreat Grandmother, any info would be good.
